Day 8 – 6/13/10
How did it all begin?
A question, a thought, and an inspirational quote...
Here's the Abraham quote that hits at the core of my journey.
"While it seems that it would be difficult as one physical being to buck the system so to speak, and feel good about self when he is surrounded by millions of other physical beings who do not feel good about self.~Abraham Hicks
We say to you that you have within you.. an inner being that does feel good about self. And that if you will listen to what is coming forth from within you, that you will again, even as a physical creature, begin to resonate with who you really are rather than be influenced by the confusion that surrounds you on your physical earth plane."
I woke up last Sunday morning, which began as a usual feeling Sunday, where I take time to journal and reflect and refresh for the upcoming week. And amidst one of my entries, a very exciting thought came, and for the first time, I felt inspired to follow the suggestions of Abraham, Communion Of Light, and other teachers who inspire me.
For over a year, since I began listening to and practicing Abraham, I had deeply wanted to feel the power of being able to influence or create my reality, and for many months I created documents and reminders and did everything they suggested. Life was improving, but at a frustratingly slow rate. I had even "given up" on my Abraham approach and restarted it about 5 times! It was very clear, I was wanting much faster feeling change within, and outside of me.
And then last Sunday, I felt a surge of excitement, a significant shift within, that spurred a full days worth of excitement over embarking on a journey where I would be DOING each morning, the ONE most important thing to me that I felt would change my life and would allow all the things and feelings I had been reaching for for months.
And that ONE thing for me, is a very powerful feeling question (inspired while chatting with my amazing girl friend the night before)
– What might my ultimately desired state of BEING feel like? –
In other words, what, to me, is that feeling place, that life perspective that feels like all is well, that things are always working out for me no matter how it seems, that succeeding in ALL areas of life really IS simple. What might that perspective feel like?
----------------------
And for the past 8 mornings, I’ve been reaching and feeling and activating my most desired state of being, with hopes that the more I focus on and expand it, the more familiar it becomes to me until… until!! I begin LIVING life from that feeling place, from that powerful perspective.
And so far... I'm deeply satisfied. Finally, after over 13 months of suggested process after self-development process, I've FOUND the one that feels MOST powerfully impacting to me. And each day, I'm experiencing significant shifts in perception within on common subjects such as Money, Love, and Self-Worthiness, as well as out-of-the-ordinary THINGS happening to me, like people who are normally pessimistic all of a sudden acting strangely happy, etc.
And of course, I'm feeling more empowered no matter what project I'm acting on during my day, which is the whole point of this journey -- to live from a place where LIFE feels so simple.
Abraham's Message - Why EMOTIONS Matter So Much to Me
Here's a Youtube Abraham recording on Self-Appreciation
Basically saying that 'how you feel about you significantly affects every other area of your life.'

Next, I’ll post yesterday’s deepest, most relieving insight – A rampage titled “This week… I let go… completely.”
My posts from here on out will be much shorter – bits of insight, quotes, and summaries of any out-of-the-ordinary experiences that just thrill me to no end. (Those are SURE to happen it seems)
Thank you for tuning in! Looking forward to any comments you’re inspired to share.

Hi Derek, Claire Bear has subscribed to your blog! I must start writing mine more regularly. Funny - bearing in mind what you said about your new facebook page and being the real you, because my blog is called 'A Place to Be, the Real Me'! Great minds and all that. One day we won't care what others think and will be the real us everywhere we go - I'm looking forward to that day and laughing about how we hid out....
ReplyDeleteI love this post Derek, thank you, very inspiring - must vote!
